摘要： Energy statistics are functions of distances between statistical observations. The objects of classical statistics are real valued variables or vectors, but Energy statistics can operate on numbers, vectors, functions, or graphs. I will present motivations for the study of Energy Statistics, some of the main properties, and examples. The applications of Energy statistics are numerous, including testing goodness of fit, testing equality of distributions, clustering, and more.

講題： Jackknife Empirical Likelihood Method for Mean Residual Life Functions

摘要： Mean residual life (MRL) function is an important function in survival analysis which describes the expected remaining life given survival to a certain age.
In this talk, I will talk about a non-parametric method based on jackknife empirical likelihood through a U-statistic to test the equality of two mean residual functions.
The asymptotic distribution of the test statistic will be introduced and simulations are conducted to illustrate the performance of the proposed test under different distributional assumptions and compare with some existing method. The proposed method is then applied to two real data sets.
